In the match of the 14th round of Ligue 1, the second team of FC “Sheriff” beat FC “Speranis” with the score 2:1, demonstrating character and will to win.
Already in the opening of the game Danila Forov opened the score, setting the tone for the whole meeting. The hosts got back on 17 minutes thanks to a penalty kick realized by Maxim Danilov. But Nikolay Spatar, having a chance from the eleven-meter mark, unfortunately missed.
The second half passed under the control of Shota Makharadze's team, but they managed to break through the opponent's defense only in the very end. The winning goal was scored by Nikolai Kovalski - his powerful long-range shot became a real problem for the hosts' goalkeeper. It should be noted that Kowalski scored for the second match in a row: in the last winning game against FK Vulturii he also scored from long range.
The team will play the final match of the first stage of Ligue 1 on December 7 at 13:00 on the road against FC “Falesti”.
