Natus Sven: «My dream is to play in the Champions League»
Our club continues to strengthen the squad, signing promising players who can strengthen the team. One of these newcomers is a defender from Liberia - Natus Sven. He grew up in a soccer family: his father, Seili Sven, was a goalkeeper for the Oilers and the Liberian national team. From childhood, Natus was surrounded by the atmosphere of soccer, which played an important role in his development. The young footballer has already managed to play his first games for Sheriff and shared his impressions about joining the team, his soccer path and ambitions for the future.

- Natus, tell us about the feelings you experienced during your transition to FC Sheriff and how were your days after signing the contract?
- I am glad to join such a club as Sheriff. I am delighted with the chance to play here. Emotions are only positive and I want to become a part of the history of the team. Days pass in the working mode: we have already played three control matches. These games prepare us for future official meetings.

-Tell us about your path in soccer and the time you spent with the club “Watanga”?
- It has been a great pleasure to represent Watanga Club. I started my career there and have followed the team since I was a kid. It's an important stage in my life that means a lot to me.

- You made your debut for the Liberian national team in March 2024. How did that moment make you feel?
- I was incredibly happy to play for Liberia and proud to represent my country on the international stage. Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of making it to the national team, and when I was noticed by Romanian specialist Mario Marinice, I got that chance. Since then I have been playing for the national team with pleasure.

- You have 8 matches for the national team in your list. What match do you consider the most important?
- I would especially emphasize the game against Algeria. Despite the defeat, I think that we showed decent soccer. In Liberia there is high competition, many players dream to defend the honor of their country, and for me it is a great motivation.

-Who played a key role in your development?
- First of all, my father - Seili Sven. He always believed in me, supported me and helped me to develop. He was a goalkeeper for the Oilers club and the Liberian national team. His guidance as well as my great desire led me to professional soccer.

- How was your journey to becoming a player?
- When I was young, my day was scheduled: school in the morning, then training, soccer - and so every day until the evening. A lot of individual lessons, work on technique. I often came home tired and devastated, but I knew it was worth it.

- How do you prepare for matches? Do you have any special rituals?
- Before the game, I mentally adjust myself, pray and ask for help from the Almighty. This helps me to focus and be ready for the game.

- What qualities will you bring to our team as a defender?
- My main strengths are speed, field vision and the ability to give accurate tips to my partners. I also try to analyze the game quickly and make the right decisions on the pitch.

- What are your goals in FC Sheriff?
- I really want to win trophies with the team. But my main dream is to play in the Champions League.
