Maxim Federov: In Tiraspol there is everything that is necessary for training camp
The football academy Megasfera, Moscow carries out annually training camp of their trainees on the basis of SC Sheriff. One of coaches of the Moscow academy, Maxim Fedorov, shared thoughts of training camp in Tiraspol.
- Maxim, what motivated You to carry out training camp on the basis of FC Sheriff?
-I’ve gotten an interesting story. Being a young man, I am a trainee of our academy, attended training camp on this base. Already in that time, I was surprised with such infrastructure. Several years in a row we come to Tiraspol with a large number of ages. We’re comfortable with conditions which are here. They raise quality of the training camp which is carried out here to a new level. Every spring we come here. Why? Here excellent conditions for football are created. There is an opportunity to play friendly matches with young men of Zenit Academy, and with local pupils of Sheriff Academy. Fine arena, good football fields. All this is an opportunity to solve the tasks for preparation for the Championship of Moscow. If you ask whether we will arrive the next year again here, then I, of course, will answer you – yes. Maybe, even with larger squad.
-Do you arrange monitoring of venues of training camp?
- As a coach I carry out the fourth year training camp in Tiraspol. Therefore as spring comes, we discuss this opportunity with the management of FC Sheriff at once. We already know everything, and everything suits us. The coordinator provides us with all necessary help and information. We asked more arena – we were given, we ask about time frames –they are provided to us. I.e. we do not need to think of any administrative nuances, and we completely focus on football.
- How do you estimate test matches with trainees of Sheriff Academy?
- It’s difficult to play with local pupils, collectives are strong. Matches go dynamically and tensely. But we focus attention more not on games, but on training of teams for the forthcoming season. We need to increase functional base and technical and tactical actions. We have no such conditions in academy therefore we try, thanks to training camp in Tiraspol, to complete all our planned tasks.
-Have you earlier heard anything about FC Sheriff?
- The first acquaintance happened when we for the first time came here to train. Now, if you ask somebody in Moscow about Sheriff, I think, you will be answered at once. The answer, of course, will be connected with a victory of the Tiraspol team over the Moscow Lokomotiv. People who narrowly and professionally play football, will tell, of course, more, as Sheriff is the annual participant of the most prestigious European tournament – the Champions Leagues.
