Zoran Zekic: "Tomorrow I want to see a team that plays on another level"
Head coach of FC Sheriff answered the questions of Georgian journalists before the second leg with FC Saburtalo:
- How do you estimate tomorrow's match?
- Good evening. You have a very beautiful city. I like it very much. What to say about tomorrow's match? In the first leg we lost 3-0, Saburtalo showed us how to play, how the team should be set and how situations on the field should be used. Unfortunately, we still do not have the team that should be. All due to the fact that we just put together, and I have only been in the team for two months. On the field it can be seen. This is the difference between us and Saburtalo.
- You lost in the first match 0-3. How can you evaluate this result? Maybe you didn’t aproach the match properly? Maybe you thought that the opponent is easier?
-We didn't think so. We made a complete analysis of the team, watched the matches, including the games in Tbilisi. We just were late. Both in the holding area, and in the defense area. Saburtalo was faster.
- Do you have any surprises for tomorrow's match to create a little sensation?
- Of course, in life and in football, in particular, everything is possible. Today I will not talk much. Just it’s nothing much to say. After the game that we played, I can say that you can lose in football, but how my team looked like – football can’t be played like that. This is a big question for us. I want to see a team that plays on another level tomorrow. We still have European matches ahead, which are also important. Unfortunately, not with Saburtalo, we play with them only tomorrow.
- Are there any injured players in the team and will Leandro Ribeiro be able to play tomorrow?
- We have enough players in the team who have microtraumas. This is due to heavy loads. We wanted to prepare boys who just came to the team. It now remains to start playing good football. Leandro trained only one day. Today we will look at him and decide.
