FC Sheriff head coach Zoran Zekic about the match against FC Petrocub:

 

-There is nothing much to say. The quality of football today, speaking of my team, - I did not see anything special, both in defense and in attack. If you start an attack and immediately lose the ball, then there is an opportunity for a counterattack. There is nothing more to say.

 

- Sheriff attacked poorly or Petrocub defended well?

- We have a good proverb in Croatia. “Two teams played today - one could not, the other did not want to.” In other words, I do not know how else to say about it. Today we can’t tspeak of the quality. If you lose the ball with the first touch, how can you realize the attack? We made it in 95% of cases. Frankly, today we played without 3-4 players. It's a lot. We played about 6 to10. It doesn’t work out that way.

 

- You lost points in the Championship for the first time. Do you began to respect more the Moldavian Championship?

- I respect the Moldavian championship and the Moldavian football players. But I always look only at myself. I always say that Sheriff should play even better and at a higher level.

 

- In the second half, you released more experienced players and tried to strengthen the attack. There was a feeling that the young players could not cope. In the first half, Ghecev, for example, ran, ran, but little turned out...

- I can also run, but the question is  how I will run fast, slow, high-quality or not. There are many problems. I can’t say a single good word in defense of our game today. We didn’t succeed. Neither with the ball, nor without the ball. There was no movement, did not look for the depth of attack, did not free up space for the partner. Men's football differs from women's football in one, the most important: - men should have, sorry for the expression, balls. And today we did not have them.
