FC Sheriff head coach Zoran Zekic about the match with FC Petrocub, season and future:

 

- Congratulations on the Champion title. 17 points of separation from the pursuers - a serious result. How difficult was this season?

- The season was difficult, and the standings do not reflect the essence. The season was very long, it created difficulties. This is a psychological question. Then, in Europe we didn’t do what we wanted, and this also left its mark. It is always difficult when you know that a separation of 10-12 points - you mustn't relax. Today, we all wanted to win. In the first half, the first 15 minutes did not work out, then we had complete control. We also created many moments, but we did not have a person who could finish. Congratulations to the team, congratulations to the management, congratulations to the fans on this title. Now we need to forget the pleasure and think about the new season. I think there will be many changes. On the first day of training, I would like new players to be already in the team and we could calmly prepare for the season and for matches in Europe.

 

- Sheriff will once again present the team in the Champions League. What team would you like to see in summer and how will the squad change?

- The squad will change in any case. The contracts of some players expire. Other players who came this summer did not show the quality that FC Sheriff needs. You said that we will represent the club in the Champions League. We must prepare for this. I want the team to be younger, we want to add speed and play more attacking football. Of course, these are just words. It is necessary to analyze everything well, to work and, together with the lmanagement, to resolve all issues.

 

- Will you celebrate?

- Already celebrated three weeks ago. The boys are tired too. We’ll run tests next week to know what state the players are in now and in what condition they’ll arrive after the holidays.
