54-year-old new head coach of Sheriff Yuriy Vernydub spoke about whether Ukrainian footballers will appear in his new team.

 

* “We leave Ukraine for Moldova on January 13th, and on January 15th Sheriff will begin preparations for the second part of the championship. My assistants will be the same specialists who worked with me at FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk. Also, in order to be able to quickly get to know the team and explore the possibilities of new charges, the coaching staff will have a local coach who worked at Sheriff earlier. On February 20 we will start in the championship.

 

* Will Ukrainians be in Sheriff?

This team already has a Ukrainian, a high-level player - Andrii Bliznichenko. If there is an opportunity to invite a player of the same level, of course, I will turn to the club with a proposal to take such a player to Sheriff, - said Vernydub.

 

* About the reasons for the transifer.

“I didn’t wait for other offers, because you can sit and not get anythng. We have to work, and then life will show. I thought about the offer of Sheriff for about a month. I visited Tiraspol, got acquainted with the conditions.

 

* Although everyone knows that Sheriff has an ideal infrastructure - a stadium, arena, many training fields, for the first team, there are also all conditions for the academy.

 

* Tasks? Nobody canceled them. The team from year to year fights only for the championship, wins this title. It's obvious. As for the European cups, the task will be to break into the group stage. We will try, ”said Vernydub.
