FC Petrocub head coach Yuri Osipenco commented on the semifinal match:

We believed in a fairy tale but it ended. We wanted this victory very much but in any case we did a great job and I think we can be proud of the team Petrocub that have improved in a few months. People have started to respect us. I am proud for the team. 

- Did you have intention to play number two or the opponent made you do this? 
- You should be a criminal to play open football with Sheriff. Sheriff is a team with crazy budget and crazy players. We are a small team that could overplay them only due to organization and some tactical changes. We were close to this but this is football, this is penalty, this is lottery. I want to congratulate Sheriff on the victory and wish them good luck in the future.
