- William, what does it mean for you to play for FC Sheriff?

- I am happy to be here, I think to adapt quickly to the team and to the club as a whole. It is important for me to gain new experience playing for FC Sheriff. I will try to help the team win many titles. This is of great importance not only for myself, but also for my whole family.

 

- Most of your career took place in Colombian Independiente Medellín. Why did you decide to pursue a career in Europe?

- Many Colombian football players dream of being in the best clubs in Europe, and I am not an exception. I will try to prove myself in the new team from the best side. This will give me the opportunity for further growth in my professional career.

 

- How are you going to establish common understanding with the players of the defense line?

- We have Max Veloso and we hope for his sociable abilities. He knows many languages ​​and this is a good opportunity to rally and show organized football. By and large, in football you can understand each other with gestures, this game knows no boundaries. I have experience adapting in Europe. I played for the Finnish HJK. By the way, Sebastian Dahlström, who signed the contract with FC Sheriff, is very familiar to me. We played together and understand each other. Another important factor in the adaptation and balance of the whole team.

 

- A modern player of the defensive line. What is he like in your opinion?

- Today, a defender is a very aggressive player. The first pass, of course, should be “clean” for him. Defense is the beginning of an attack, and in this regard, the defensive player is the first to starts an attack.

 

- What are your goals?

- The main goal is to find my playing threads and achieve great dedication from myself. Win a championship and win a country cup. Of course, to play well in the Champions League. For me, as a football player, this is the best that can be experienced in the European arena.
