FC Sheriff played two matches in the group stage of the Champions League and after both matches UEFA gave the Best Player of the Match prize to a player of our team. After a home victory with FC Shakhtar, it was Cristiano Da Silva.

 

This time the prize went to the goalkeeper, Georgies Athanasiadis. The Greek goalkeeper saved 11 of 12 shots on target. The only time our goal was broken after the penalty kick.
