Another newcomer to FC Sheriff is Ghanaian defender Rees Twumasi Opoku. The 19-year-old player has signed an employment contract.

Rees was born in Kumasi, Ghana's second-largest city. He gained his first professional experience last season at Berekum Chelsea, from where he moved to two-time Ghanaian champions FC Aduana Stars.
