Ecuadorian midfielder Luis Mateo Ortiz Lara has successfully passed a medical examination and after signing a labor contract became a full member of the big and friendly family of FC Sheriff.

Mateo Ortiz was born on January 31, 2000 in Guayaquil, the first city of Ecuador in terms of population. He started in the academy of Rocafuerte. He started his adult career in the club Independiente del Valle. Last year he moved to Europe, to the Finnish first division club Honka, with which he managed to play in two matches of the Conference League qualification.
