Emil Timbur, goalkeeper for the Moldovan national team, has joined the ranks of FC Sheriff's first team. The parties have signed a contract, and the player has begun training for the second half of the season.

A product of Chisinau's Zimbru, he began his professional career at his home club before moving to Torpedo Zhodino in Belarus. Abroad, he also played for Romania's Politehnica Timisoara and Lithuania's Panevezys. In the Moldovan Championship, he played for Orhei's Milsami for a long time, winning the championship title with them last season.

He was called up and played for all Moldovan national teams, starting with the U-17s.  On November 16, 2025, he made his official debut for the national team in a match against Israel (1:4).
