FC Sheriff management and Croatian defender Dominik Kovačić agreed upon mutual cooperation and signed a contract.  As the result, Dominik is a second signing of our club this pre-season.

Kovačić was born on 5 January 1994 in Zagreb. His professional career began in his home-town where he finally joined NK Zagreb first team. Dominik’s last club became Lugano (Switzerland) where he played in the present Europa League group stage in the same group with FC Steaua Bucharest, Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC (Israel) and FC Viktoria Plzeň. On the results of the group stage, the Swiss squad got 9 points but failed to enter play-off.

Kovačić will play instead of Brazilian Victor Oliveira who keeps his career going back home.  

FC Sheriff staff is glad to welcome Dominik Kovačić under their roof. We wish him lots of trophies and games without injuries in the yellow-black shirt of our club.
