The first team of FC Sheriff will depart tomorrow on a charter flight to Baku for the match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League against the champion of Azerbaijan FC Qarabag.

 

On the eve of the match, according to the Competition Regulations approved by UEFA, all club staff, including players and the coaching staff, underwent another mandatory COVID-19 test. The test was held in the only laboratory in Moldova that is accredited by the European Football Union. The test results have been sent to UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

 

For our club, the notification from UEFA once again did not bring any surprises - all the tests turned out to be negative, and the players who entered the application for the second round were allowed to the match.

 

FC Sheriff and FC Qarabag will meet on Wednesday 26 August at theTofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku. The match kicks off at 20.00 local time (19.00 in Tiraspol).
