Victor Mihailov: «In the second half of the championship, there are no underdogs»
Sheriff head coach Victor Mihailov on the third-round match of Phase 2 against FC Dacia Buiucani
.
- Did you approach this game any differently—perhaps treating it as a match against an underdog to conserve energy?
- We’re playing in the second half of the championship, where there are no underdogs. Every team wants to take points, every team is fighting. So it doesn’t matter who we play: Dacia Buiucani, Petrocub, or Milsa—we take everyone very seriously and approach every game with the same intensity. It was a tough game. Even though we had some issues with the lineup—there were injuries from the last game—those who played either lived up to expectations or fell short. We’re taking it one game at a time and preparing for the next match.
- 2-0—isn’t that a bit of a low score for the game, do you think?
- Why is it a low score? 2-0 is three points. And who we played against doesn’t matter. 2-0 is a win; it’s still three points; the score doesn’t matter.
