Veaceslav Posmac: «It isn’t only my award»
The winner in the nomination of the FC Sheriff Best player in 2018 according to our supporters shared his comments on this nomination and the forthcoming season.
-Veaceslav, we congratulate you on the victory in the nomination of the Best player of last season.
-Thanks, it is very pleasant to me to realize that the majority voted for me. It is my first individual award as "Best player of the club" and therefore it is pleasant to me doubly. It isn’t only my award, and in this regard I would like to thank all my partners, coaching staff and fans for support and trust. I was chosen following the results of last year and it motivates me very much to prove myself even stronger in the forthcoming season.
-Did you watch the voting and for what player did you give your vote?
-My parents called me and told about the voting. Later, I visited the website and saw myself in the lead. I gave my vote for Yury Kendysh. Just yesterday I began to receive congratulatory messages on my phone. Everybody congratulated on victory.
- Why did you vote for Yury Kendysh?
- In my opinion, he proved himself worthily last season. He had an injury and this, unfortunately, pushed him out of our stable. Yury stands out on the field by special playing. He always tries to play smart football. He is not less worthy of the title of the Best player of last season.
-The team will go soon to the training camp – did you missed football?
-I miss football, and sometimes, staying at home, there was great desire to run with a ball. I look forward to the forthcoming camp. I want to see my partners again and to get acquainted with players who have strengthened our club recently.
-Speaking of the newcomers, - how do you see them as a part of the “yellow-black”?
- I believe that they will make our squad and playing better in the attack, at least, I would like that very much. I watched several highlight reels of the Brazilian midfielder Ribeiro. I hope, he will prove himself for the good of our club. And I know Patrick Pedersen firsthand. In head-to-head matchup of the Europa League with FC Valur I repeatedly had to engage in single combat with him. I will note his strong heading abilities and good anthropometric data.
- Share your thoughts of the forthcoming season – what goals would you like to achieve?
- We’ll work to make 2019 much more productive, than last. We have to achieve the next success in internal superiority to win the berth to the Champions League. And, of course, participation in Euro cups concerns me most of all, I set the highest goals in matches on the international scene.
-What message would you like to leave for supporters?
- First, I want to thank them for the appreciation of my work. It is an additional incentive. I would like to please them in each match in the new year. Then, would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. Let in their families there will be peace, wellbeing and prosperity.
