From today, training is allowed for professional football teams. The quarantine pause was delayed, but the efforts of the leadership of the Football Federation of Moldova paid off. Some details of the return are in an interview with the Director of FC Sheriff Vazha Tarkhnishvili:

 

- Vazha Edvardovich, how did the club perceive the return to work?

- First of all, I must say that the decision was expected, given the titanic work that was applied by the leadership of the Federation in this matter. A big plus of the current leadership of the FMF, headed by Leonid Oleinichenko, is that they were constantly in touch. We know firsthand what efforts were made to return to competitive activity as soon as possible. Everyone missed football. Therefore, the decision pleased.

 

- Does the list of conditions that allow you to start the training process include those that cannot be fulfilled?

- We received the conditions last week, sending an immediate response to the Federation that we are ready to fulfill them. Everyone understands that this is done for the safety of football players, coaches, staff and their families.

 

- Were there other conditions on the part of the Federation?

- No. It must be understood that the conditions that were developed by the Federation are sufficient for the safety of the training process. All of them were discussed with the FMF Secretary General Nikolai Cebotari, who held meetings with clubs online, which included conversations with team doctors. Everything was correctly designed to the smallest detail. In this regard, the leadership of the FMF worked very clearly.

 

- How difficult will the return be?

- We have all the conditions for starting the training process. The first team will work separately from everyone, in compliance with the rules. The main difficulty is to return the players to optimal conditions for the start of the season as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the work that the team did in the winter needs to be redone.

 

- Has the squad of the first team changed?

- At the moment, the coaching staff has at its disposal the same squad that was in the winter. I'd like to thank the players. They sympathized with all the difficulties, worked individually. Who and how did this, the coaching staff will check.
