Training camp. Day Thirteen. FC “Sheriff” – FC “Volga”
In the final match while training camp in Turkey FC “Sheriff” met FC “Volga” from Nizhny Novgorod.
The starting lineup of FC “Sheriff”: Sergey Paschenco, Melli, Djibril Paye, Marcel Metoua, Ernandes, Vadim Paireli, Jhulliam, Benjamin Balima, Valentin Furdui, Marko Stanojevic, Luvannor. Substitute players: Klysman Henrique, Juninho Potiguar.
The game was dominated by FC “Sheriff”. In the middle of the first half after mess in FC “Volga” penalty area Valentin Furdui sent the ball to the goal but one second earlier the referee called a foul in attack. In two minutes Furdui had another good chance to score after a corner shot. But Pareiko saved his team. He saved his team again after a dangerous shot by Marcel Metoua. On 35th minute Ernandes made a long-range shot but the ball did not get into the goal. In five minutes Metoua had a chance to score but he missed from close distance.
On 61st minute FC “Sheriff” took the lead. Luvannor sent a pass for Jhulliam who in his turn sent the ball to goal area where Marko Stanojevic turned home and opened the scoring – 1:0! In a minute there happened a curious episode at the stadium. Electricity was turned off at the fields of the sports complex Papillon. It took 10 minutes to recover lightening and restart the game. Vadim Paireli made a dangerous shot but he missed. FC “Volga” attacked well at the end of the match but the ball got on the outer side of the net.
FC “Sheriff” kept victorious scoring. Tomorrow our team will have a recovering training session in Belek and then fly home. In Tiraspol the team will have a few days off and then training sessions will continue. The Championship of Moldova starts again next week. FC “Sheriff” is having a match against FC “Speranca” on February 28 at 16:00.
