The youth national team of the Republic of Moldova finished the qualifying campaign for the European Championship 2023 in third place, only behind the teams of the Netherlands and Switzerland.

 

In the last match of the qualifying tournament, the Moldovan national team played in a draw 1:1 against Switzerland. Throughout the match, FC Sheriff players Serafim Cojokari and Evgheni Gliga were on the field. The latter was substituted in stoppage time.
