The national team of Moldova U-19 was defeated today in the third match of the qualifying tournament of the European Championship 2024. The Cyprus national team snatched the victory in the compensated time of the game, scoring the only goal.
Thus, the Tricolors took the last, fourth place in their group, having previously lost to the teams of Spain and Georgia.
The head coach of the national team – Andrei Corneencov, in the match against the Cypriots, provided playing time to the pupils of the FC Sheriff Academy. Dan Bațan, Artiom Dijinari and Vitali Guțu played all the main time. Denis Pleșca came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute of the match, Denis Gușpit replaced Nichita Sandețschi in the 71st minute of the match, Stanislav Greșciuk played 84 minutes of the match. Serghei Obîscalov and Vladislav Iațco remained in reserve.
