The operative search and finding of an alternative flight to Vienna, Austria, allowed FC "Sheriff" to arrive in time for the match, and to participate in the first game of the group stage of the Europa League, 2017/2018 season, with Festav Zlin, Czech Republic. Participation in one of the most prestigious football tournaments in Europe is an achievement for all Moldovan football and the pride of our fans. In case of failure to show the team for the match, later than indicated in the UEFA regulations, this would result in the awarding of a technical defeat, bringing the club to responsibility, and the fall of its image in the international arena.
