Georgian mentor of FC Sheriff reserves Shota Makharadze in an interview with the club’s press office, spoke about the victory (5: 2) over Dinamo-Auto reserves, the championship of our youth team and his priorities on the position of the head coach of the Academy.

 

- Shota, let me congratulate you on the prematurely victory in the Championship. What emotions do you feel?

- Today we agreed with the team what is necessary, so to speak, to put the official seal in the Championship. But we keep the whole mood and emphasis for the second leg with the Albanian rival - Shkendija. All the boys understand how important the upcoming game in the European competition is. It will be a championship for us to go as far as possible in the UEFA Youth League. Today it is too early to rejoice, we will do it after October 23.

 

- Do you connect the game with Shkendija with a victory in the Championship?

- Of course, this is interconnected. Today, the official point in the domestic championship was put. But we believe that we still have important games ahead of this season.

 

- What the most important thing in the game of our team you can highlight for the current season?

- We achieved success and this had its prerequisites - game discipline, involving a large number of young players, a friendly and cohesive team and, of course, meticulous work at training.

 

- According to today's game. How do you estimate the game of Andrii Bliznichenko, Mihai Gechev and Antun Palic?

- Good players. Andrii has not played for a long time and is gaining form well. Antun has also been training with us for a month and shows himself at a good level. Gechev also scores and brings many benefits. Everyone tried and I am grateful to them for their efforts.

 

- You headed the reserves and immediately in the first season achieved a prematurely championship. What does this success mean for you personally?

- In my football life, I try to maintain primarily human moments within the team. For me, the most important thing is football culture. This is an important guarantee of success. After all, when everyone is united and as one family, a high result will not take long. This is felt by all trainees, you need to build work in this way. Everyone should enjoy preparing for games and training, given the microclimate and excellent infrastructure conditions.
