Sheriff Winter Cup 2024 has started
The largest children's and youth soccer tournament in Moldova - Sheriff Winter Cup 2024 - started today at the sports complex “Sheriff” in Tiraspol. The competition will run until December 22 and will cover different age categories.
The tournament involves 160 teams from Moldova and Romania, which will spend a total of 48 thousand minutes on the field. The organizers promise that no participant will be left without an award, and the teams that won prizes will receive not only cups, but also modern acoustic systems.
In the first week of the tournament, which includes three game days from Thursday to Sunday, the youngest players - born in 2016 and 2017 - compete. FC Sheriff represents two teams coached by Oleg Stengach and Oleg Gumenyuk.
The coach of Sheriff U-9 team Oleg Stengach noted that this tournament gives the pupils of Sheriff Academy additional incentives for development: it increases motivation, discipline, skills of interaction in the team and creates conditions for healthy competition.
