Sheriff vs Zeta: As it happened
A second friendly at the training camp in Belek (Turkey), Roberto Bordin’s side played in different ways. The first 60 minutes, they took the lead, controlled the ball, made fast attacks and scored. But after substitutions (only Yuri Kendysh and Cristiano Da Siva played the full game), something got wrong. It was seen: the connections got broken.
The most difficult minutes of the first half were 10 minutes from the off spent on adaptation. After that there was a range of attacks and chances. The first chance with passes from Badibanga and Cristiano wascompleted by Kamara. The ball went wide of the post. Then Ziguy came on the shooting position, but the ball fired from 18 meters hit a defender’s leg and went on a corner. The score was opened in the 40th minute. A through-ball sent by Jairo went to Kamara who easily fired it into the opponents’ net.
The second half began with a goal scored by Badibanga. Cristiano shot through and Ziguy hammered under the bar. Substitutions began in the 55th minute, and it became obvious that the newcomers still didn’t understand the coaches' formations. That explains miscues in defense that let the Montenegro team get one back – the only chance allowed by FC Sheriff.
Roberto Bordin’s squad beat the rivals 2-1. A game against Debrecen (Hungary) is coming ahead. You can watch the game’s photo gallery in the Multimedia section.
