After a year’s break the UEFA Champions League is back in Tiraspol. In the first leg match Sheriff Tiraspol played against Sutjeska from Montenegro. From the very beginning the teams began to attack. The first opportunity was created by the visitors. Darko Isidorovic received the ball in the penalty box but Stajila was the first at the ball and grabbed it. Sheriff possessed the ball a lot and was close to score. The most real opportunity occurred on the 32th minute. The long attack saw Kadu, Markovski and Luvannor attempts to score but Montenegro players managed to clear the danger. In this situation Ricardinho lost his marksman and produced a header, having shot into the crossbar. On the 45^th minute Sheriff managed to score. Kadu made assist for Luvannor, who went one on one and scored.
In the beginning of the second half Sutjeska attacked again. Nicolic played to Isidorovic, who missed the net. In 5 minutes, however, Sutjeska managed to score an equalizer. Vladimir Jovovic delivered the ball from the corner. Stajila played not good and Pejovic sent the ball into our net. After conceded goal Sheriff became even more dangerous in attack. In one of the episodes Markovski made a great header but the Sutjeska goalkeeper really saved the net. On the 77^th minute there has been a foul on Kadu. The Brazilian made a shot from a free kick, but Janusevich was there to clear the danger and made a save. Luvannor also had a good opportunity had Luvannor and Pascenco, who both missed the net. The greatest opportunity in the second half had Stanojevic, who shot right into the upper corner of the net, but the ball was deflected by a defender and went to the corner kick. The final attempts unfortunately were in vain and the score remained 1-1, and this for sure will make the second leg even more spectacular.
