Today on the small arena there was a match of the 24^th round of the Moldavian football championship in National Division and Sheriff played against Dacia. Sheriff looked sharp from the very beginning and the first opportunity was created by our team – Stanojevic made a good shot, but the ball went above the crossbar. The next danger near Dacia’s goal was seen when Gaidukevich failed to fix the ball in his hands and Gheorghiev tried to score, but the Dacia’s goalkeeper saved the ball at the second attempt.
In the middle of the first half Dacia began playing better and in the end of the first half could even score. Stoleru made a good shot from the free kick, but the ball hit the crossbar.
The second half began with Sheriff’s attacks. The most dangerous one was created by Pascenco, who passed well to the right flank to Gheorghiev, but Serghei, being in good position, decided not to shoot but to pass across the goal. Unfortunately, no-one was there to send the ball into the net. A little later Samardzic had a good header, but Gaidukevich was there to take the ball. In the last twenty minutes Dacia was much sharper and often created dangerous moments, but scored no goals. Five minutes before the end of the game the ball hit the crossbar again – now after the shot of Krkotic who entered the penalty area and produced a good shot to the upper corner. As a result – 0-0 and the difference in points is preserved.
