Today there has been a friendly between FC Sheriff and FC Tiraspol. Many players from our team were called-up to the national teams, and that's why the Sheriff squad today surely couldn't be called optimal. On pitch: Stajila, Markovski, Pesic, Marianovic, Metoua, Scripcenco, Apostolov, Krol, Lisa, Poyarkov and Luvannor. Reserves: Bordan, Apatic, Oleinic and Galac. As a result Sheriff played in a not usual for our team formation - two forwards, and Metoua took his place in the center of defense instead of the usual right wing. In the first half there has been a good episode when Pesic and Luvannor showed a good communication, but the last pass from Brazilian was interrupted. Tiraspol answered with a good shot from Karaneichev, whose header went wide. However, in the next attack Karaneichev scored - Metoua cleared the ball with the header not so good and Karaneichev instantly produced a shot and succeeded in scoring. The first half ended 0-1 in FC Tiraspol favor. In the very beginning of the first half as a result of good combination Luvannor got the ball in the penalty area, but his shot was instantly blocked. Later Poiarcov produced a good shot from outside of the penalty area, but the goalkeeper managed to save this ball. Another danger was created by Marianovic, who delivered the ball straight to Pesic into the penalty area, but the ball was saved again. The next opportunity had Markovski, who missed the net from the close position sending the ball over the crossbar. Tiraspol clearly dominated in the second half but in the end of the match Sheriff got the right for a penalty after the handball of one of Tiraspol players. Markovski was precise from the spot. The match ended 1-1.
