Second place in Europe
FC Sheriff takes the second place in Europe among clubs with most of winning streaks. The most titled club in Moldova had not suffered any defeats within two years under the guidance of the Belorussian coach Leonid Kuchuk. In the season 2006/07 our team set a unique record for our country – the team became the champion without losing any match. The winning streak (63 matches with no defeats) was interrupted in March 2008 by the principal opponent FC Zimbru.

The record in the Old World (103 winning matches) was set in 1980-s, in golden years it was Steaua with Emeric Jenei as a head coach, then Anghel Iordanescu. The team from Bucharest won the Cup of European Champions 1985/86, in the year 1987/88 they finished at semifinal and for to the final in the next cup series.

FC Sheriff in this ranking passed over Scottish Celtic (62), Levadia Tallin (61), Union Saint- Gilloise (60), Shirak, Pyunik (59), Milan Italy (58), Olympiacos (58), Skonto (57), Benfica (56), Porto (55), Shakhtar Donetsk (55).
