Сadu: "I will show maximum of my abilities"
Cadu, tell us about yourself and about your first steps in football.
I began to play football in my native city when I was 8. I always used to watch football, saw Ronaldo and Romario, and other footballers. No one in my family played football professionally. That's why I can say that my choice was influenced by the great footballers.
Do you have a person in your life who always supports you in your football career?
My family - father, mother and also my first coach, who said I had a good potential. He managed to make me a footballer that I am now.
What position do you play on? Did you always play on this position?
I like to play central midfielder very much - many great footballers played on this position. I always played there and didn't try myself on other positions.
Tell us how you came to Sheriff.
The club representative was in Belgrade. We had a good conversation. He told me everything about Sheriff and said that this team is serious about work and has good ambitions. It appealed to me and I accepted the offer. I have big ambitions as well regarding my future career.
Did you hear anything about Sheriff earlier?
Yes. There have been players whom I know. They knew about Sheriff and so I can say that I did know about the team.
What are your first impressions in the club and the atmosphere?
My impressions are good. Everybody treated me well and I was impressed by the conditions. We have everything here to do our job.
You began your career in Brazil. Then you moved to Montenegro and Serbia. Is Brazilian football different from European?
It is much different. In Brazil footballer has more time to think and to make a decision on the pitch. There everyone concentrates on technique in favour of tactics. You can't play in Europe if your physics and tactics are not on the same level.
What do you expect from the Moldavian championship?
I hope we will become champions again.
As you know soon Sheriff will have to play in European competitions. What do you think about it?
Besides World Cup these are the most important tournaments in every players' career.
What do you think of entering the group stage of the Champions League?
This is one of the greatest achievements a player can dream of.
Do you remember your first European game?
Yes, of course! It was a game against "Rudar" from Slovenia. I went on a substitution in second half and managed to score a goal.
Let's go back to the Serbian championship. What match do you remember the best in the Red Star?
Serbian "classico". Red star couldn't overcome Partizan for 5 years. Even more, in an away match no-one from Red Star could score. It was a game for the championship title, in which on the 93rd minute I scored the only and the winning goal.
You had to change your club colors from red and white to yellow and black. What do you think of such a change? Does it suit you?
It is not really important for me (smiles).
The supporters wait a lot from you. What can you tell them?
Football is a team game. I didn't come here to play alone. I will do everything on my maximum and will help the team. Only then can we expect some good football.
What languages do you know?
Serbian, Portuguese. A little of English and Spanish.
Did you manage to make any friends in the team?
Yes, with Stanojevic, Markovski, all the Serbian players, Brazilian also. I don't speak Russian, but I think Moldavian players to be good guys, I like them.
