The head coach of FC Sheriff, Roman Pylypchuk, commented on today's defeat of our team against Roma (3-0):
- Good evening, I would like to congratulate the opposing team on a well-deserved victory and a good game. Briefly about the game, in our case we presented an expensive gift for a team like Roma - we conceded two goals at the beginning of the match due to gross defensive errors. Then there were episodes when we could have scored, there were moments when we could have missed. In general, I want to thank my guys for a job well done.
- When you took over the team before the match with Servette, did you set the task to shake up the team and prepare for the next games, did you manage to do it in the end?
- Well, I took over the team when we lost 6-0 in Prague, I think we played the following games well, we missed the victory in the last minutes. There are objective reasons, but overall I'm still happy.
- Was the substitution in the first half of a technical nature or were you unhappy with your player's performance?
- As I already said about the gift to the opponent, we missed these two goals from our right flank. The right-back made gross mistakes in defense, so the substitution was due to episodes in the game.
- Are you satisfied with the dedication of the players and was it difficult to set up the team taking into account the tournament position?
- Well, if the game doesn't mean anything, it doesn't mean that you need to go on vacation, I think we don't come to Rome every day and play in such a stadium, with such a team. It's wrong to say that we came here for a vacation. As for me, I'm happy, considering the problems we've had. If you have noticed, we have only two substitutions in today's match, and this is not only today, but also in the last four games. It's hard to fight this. Therefore, in previous games we conceded goals in the endings, we did not have enough players on the bench to strengthen the game.
