A wave of friendly games between national teams ahead of the World Championship in Russia came across all the continents of the globe. FC Sheriff players also participated in these games.

The Republic of Belarus overplayed Azerbaijan in the away game with the score 1-0. Yuri Kendysh came on the pitch as a substitute in the 69th minute and played 22 minutes.
Armenia couldn’t beat Estonia (0-0), Curacao had a friendly outcome of 1-1 with Bolivia. Neither Aras Ozbiliz nor Jeremi de Noijer was fielded.
