Roberto Bordin: We'll see what's going to happen after the final whistle
FC Sheriff head coach Roberto Bordin gave his comments on the match with Petrocub and the end of the season:
- We are very glad that we won and that we are in final. It was a hard match, both for us and for Petrocub, and penalty is a lottery, everybody knows that. Petrocub scored a very beautiful goal but we kept on playing. The players showed a good reaction and scored their goal. At the same time they tried not to take risks, but they fought till the end. We wanted to win this match before the penalty shootout starts but it happened the way it is now.
- Why did you fail to score in the main time?
- We tried to do that. If it was easy to score, we would do it of course. We played and did everything we could.
- How is Brezovec's health?
- Brezovec was hit in his ankle-guard, the strike was quite strong. Tomorrow we will decide about Josip's further health condition.
- Didn't you want to save the main players before the important match with FC Ungheni?
- As I already said after the match with Saxan, every game is important. We think about every game and move step by step. We knew it would not be easy today, we played football and we did it well. Petrocub is quite a serious team. Now we have a few days to recover. We have a good team and many players who can play in the next game.
-The team has a very intense schedule, championship matches, then the final of the Cup, and maybe the Golden Match. How is the team going to follow it?
- I agree with you, the schedule is very busy. But as I have already said, we have enough good players who can take the field and play on the required level. We have time for recovery and move forward, we will prepare every game individually.
- Zaria also won their match, what do you expect from the upcoming final?
- FC Zaria is a very good team, we will have an important game with a good opponent. We will do everything that depends on us to win. They had a good championship like FC Dacia.
- Do you expect any surprises from Saxan in a match with Dacia?
- I prefer thinking about my team's game. And what is going to happen next - we will see. Who we will play with, or whether we play or not.
- You said that Petrocub scored a beautiful goal, don't you think the goalkeeper made a mistake?
- (smiling) It was a very important goal by the opponent. We do not have claims to our goalkeeper. And we are satisfied with his play because he made many saves.
