Roberto Bordin: Football in Albania is on the rise
FC Sheriff head coach shared his thoughts on our club's opponent in the 2nd QR of the UEFA Champions League:
- Sheriff know their opponent in the Champions League now, what can you say?
- As I have mentioned before, any opponent is very strong. They are champions in their countries. As for Albanian FK Kukesi, I can say they are a very good team. It will be hard but we will do everything to go further.
- Do you know anything about Albanian football? Maybe you played with Albanian teams?
- I have friends from Albania. They told me that Albanian football is on the rise, the teams play well both on the national and international scale. FC Kukesi fought with Partizan like we did with Dacia. We will try to play on a good level.
- Is it important for you to play the first match at home or away?
- The most important to prepare well. It does not matter where to play. Psychology will be on the first place. This is Champions League and there will be many emotions. The opponent is a hard one. At some point we are glad that we will play at home at first.
- There are changes in the team. Will it influence the team's condition that a few leaders left the club?
- I look at today's squad and I am glad that those players we have will fight together with coaching staff in the championship of Moldova and Champions League. We have a great opportunity to prepare with those players that we have now and with new ones.
