FC Sheriff forward Ricardinho who became the best striker of the previous season talked about his goals and the team.
 
You already scored two goals in the opening matches. Do you want to become the best striker of the tournament for the second time?
I don’t have a task to become the best striker no matter what. I take the field in order to score and help the team win. If I can win the strikers’ race for the second time, I will be pleased.

You shared your joy at scoring to FC Petrocub with Benjamin Balima in an original way. Did you have some kind of an agreement?
Right before the match Balima offered me to celebrate the goal together. I just kept my promise, it was fun.

You are a true leader in the team. What does it mean to you to be a leader?
Perhaps it is good experience for me. I have never been a team captain and I am glad I can be useful in the team. I am not a daydreamer, I just do the job I love.

The team gets in shape step by step. Do you agree?
There is something we can do and something we cannot. We have a new coach, new players and everyone needs time to adapt to each other no matter how trivial it sounds. We’ll see what we can do.

Lilian Popescu, as well as all supporters, note that FC Sheriff has problems with conversion. Why is there such a problem?
It’s very difficult to answer this question. We work on that every day but football is a game in which anything can happen. We should keep on training hard and then luck will be on our part.

What do you expect from this season?
I hope the season will be interesting, challenging and we will finish the championship on the first place.
