Replicated success after seniors
Today, FC Sheriff youth team played their first game for the 2018 Reserves Division at the Sports Complex Sheriff Covered Arena. In the first round, they won with the score 3-0 against CS Petrocub.
Right in the beginning of the game, the Yellow-Blacks opened the score. FC Sheriff legend Benjamin Balima after the corner kick headed the ball right into the opponents’ goals. In the 39th minute, the hosts doubled the lead. Andrei Kobets tackled the ball from the visitors’ defender at their half of the pitch and scored with a beautiful long-ranger.
The game where Luka Pavlovich’s side had a confident control till the interval changed in the second half. The rivals tried to make a threat to Maxim Bardysh’s goals. In the 70th minute, CS Petrocub reserves had a chance to get one back. Vladislav Bursa was laid the ball off, went head-to-head against the goalkeeper and fired into the far corner –but a bit inaccurate.
By the end of the game, the score turned 3-0. Our team was awarded a penalty confidently converted by Vsevolod Nikhaev.
The next game our reserves play on 6 April against the reserves of FC Speranta. The kick-off is at 13:00 at the Sports Complex Sheriff Covered Arena.
