Razvan Rotaru: "I had to quit playing career"
Razvan, tell us about yourself and your football career.
I'm 29, and from 7 until 23 I played football in such teams as Dinamo Bucuresti, Poli Timisoara, Minaur Zlatna, Unirea Alba Iulia.

Why did you want to become a football player?
When I was a child, my favorite toy was the ball. My parent always had to buy me new ones, because they were plastic and broke often. When I turned 7, my parents put me into Dinamo Bucharest and I began playing football.

Why did you quit playing at 23?
There was an unsuccessful surgery on knee. In one friendly during the preparation for the season I was injured and surgery was required. Unfortunately, after that I had to leave football.

What position did you play on?
I played central defender, but also central midfielder in Alba Iulia and Minaur Zlatna and right back in Dinamo. But I liked to play central defender most of all.

What was the most memorable match in your career?
Probably the final of the tour in Amien, where Dinamo Bucharest won against the Belgian side. Then the play-off Dinamo - Brasov. The game ended 4-3.

What did you do after you quit playing career?
At that time I studied in the sports college with football specialization, and when I finished it I got coaching licence. After that I studied 3 years in the federal coaching school.
