FC “Sheriff” had an away match with “Rapid” from Ghidighici in terms of XIV round of the championship.

The match was not an easy one for our team even despite the fact that it was “Sheriff” which opened the score in the game. Ricardinho sent the ball to Luvannor Henrique who entered the penalty area of the hosts and shot at the gate. Our front man’s shot was not a very lucky one but Michael Moraru was not careful and the ball turned out to be in the gate! Just in a few minutes “Rapid” tied the score. Our players’ mistake resulted in Livandovschi’s hitting the target from 15 meter distance. In five minutes “Rapid” kept the score. At first Dmitri Stajila stroke aside from the close distance, then Dmitru Bacal made it into the cross bar, the ball rebounded to Bacal again who could score – 2:1. On 40 minute Luvannor shot from the set piece, Fernando headed the ball which got exactly in the lower corner – 2:2.

The second half was completely dominated by “Sheriff”. They created many dangerous moments but only by the end of the match they could score the final goal. Luvannor made a great pass to Ismail Isa who sent the ball to the gate of the hosts.

Our team got not an easy victory and continues to take the lead in the championship having 35 points. This Thursday “Sheriff” is playing against “Tottenham” in London at the famous White Hart Lane stadium in terms of Europa League match.
