Rapid - Sheriff. Match report
Today in one of games of 1/8 finals of Moldavian Cup Rapid played versus Sheriff. The game had good pace from the first minutes. Balima made a cross to Tanasa, who produced a header, but Livsit managed to cope with it. After a cross Onica shooted on goal, but the ball went wide. Zveaghintev saved his team, having made a perfect save after Hausi's shot. Then Sheriff made a free kick - Luvannor made a shot right to the wall. In the end of first half Frantuz made a shot from free kick, but again Zveaghintev played very good and parried a shot.
After the half-time Frantuz had a good opportunity. Having got the ball to space he could get closer to goal, but decided to shoot and the ball went wide. After 2 minutes the ball was in Rapid's net after Stanoyevich's shot, but the goal was disallowed due to the off-side. Tanasa made a cross to Dadu, who couldn't play the ball well and his shot was not very good. Luvannor made a pass to Dadu, who instantly made a shot to the lower corner, but the ball went inches wide. The game went to overtime.
As soon as overtime started Sheriff scored. Pesic made a powerful shot on goal - Livsit parried it, but Artem Haceaturov was the first on the ball and sent it to the net. Sheriff made it to 1/4 finals of Moldavian Cup.
