In a few days FC Sheriff will know their opponent in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. We would like to mention how FC Sheriff performed in this tournament.

FC Sherif started their way from the Europa League only twice (season 1999/2000 and 2000/2001). Both times FC Sheriff could not go further. Then our team started the Europa League from the second qualifying round (season 2011/2012). 

FC Sheriff played 30 games in terms of the UEFA Europa League (The UEFA Cup) in which we scored 19 times and conceded 31 goal. 

Benjamin Balima played the most amount of matches in the Europa League for FC Sheriff (26 games). 

The best striker in the European cups in FC Sheriff squad is Ismail Isa who scored six goals two of which in the Europa League. 

Our team performd in Europa League three times with such famous opponents as Turkish SK Fenerbahce, Romanian  Steaua, Dinamo Kiev, Tottenham London. FC Sheriff got five points in the group for two times, and the best achievement is six points in the season 2013/14. 

FC Sheriff played uin the Europa League play-off round for three times (against Olympique de Marseille, FK Vojvodina and HNK Rijeka) and only once got through that stage. 

FC Sheriff played with 15 teams from 14 countries during the tournament playing with Twente and AZ two times.  

The draw for the first qualifying round in the Europa League starts on June 22 in Nyon, Switzerland. At the same time there will be draw for the second qualifying round. FC Sheriff is seeded. It must be noted that FC Sheriff club coefficient is 14.500 and it is the second position among all 102 teams of the first round. Only English “West Ham” has a higher coefficient.
