Press-conference in Copenhagen

Press-conference in Copenhagen
FC Sheriff head coach Roberto Bordin and the team captain Mateo Sušić shared their opinion regarding tomorrow’s game during the official club’s press-conference in Copenhagen:

R.B.: We are glad to be in such a wonderful city as Copenhagen. Tomorrow there will be a crucial game for both teams. We will meet a very strong team with huge experience of playing at the European arena. We understand that our opponent is really eager to win. We too are ready for the game. We have our own motivation.

The team would be satisfied with a draw. Will you play coming from this condition?
R.B.: Most of all we are interested to show a good-level play. In the previous games, we went onto the field to show high-quality football. If we begin to think we are here for a draw, it would be our first mistake. To come only to defend without attacking the rivals’ goal is not good at all. We came to Copenhagen to play football. We know that we face a tough rival but we will try to do all to play as good as in Moscow or the Czech Republic.

What is your impression about Copenhagen after the game in Tiraspol? Are you awaiting of anything special on tomorrow’s match?
R.B.: F.C. København showed in Tiraspol a very good football. They created lots of chances. This is a team that attacks with a big number of players and is dangerous by set plays. We are prepared for this too. We are quite motivated and want to present ourselves well tomorrow. It’s difficult to say what tomorrow may bring. We will know it only on the pitch. In Tiraspol, we had our chances but in many episodes we played counterattacks. As I already said, to play draw would be a mistake. But if they attack with seven or eight players we will play in defense and then return to attacking actions. In modern football all teams play like that.

You, probably, have analyzed the opponents’ game. What tactics do you think F.C. København will choose tomorrow?
R.B.: Let’s see how they’ll play. Besides all this, I think tomorrow it will be a big day for both teams, everyone is highly motivated. Definitely, it will be beautiful football, tough men’s game. The pitch is not in the best condition because of rains. But, perhaps, I’m repeating myself, it’s not important what was in the group games before. Both teams have their own motives and want to play well.

M.S.: That's a great pleasure for us to be in the capital of Denmark. We have an opportunity to play tomorrow against a famous and well-experienced team F.C. København. We will do everything possible to achieve the result we need and to qualify for the Europa League next round. By draw or victory we can carry out our task and together with Sheriff to write a new chapter in the history of Moldavian football.
