Petru Racu: The result must depend only on professionalism and devotion
The defender of yellow-black Petru Racu has gotten back in the game after injury. Here is his opinion on a game of the 15th tour of the National Division against Petrokub, and about a match with the Icelandic club Valur - the rival of our team in the third round of the Europa League:
-Petru, how do you think what was the reason for defeat of our team in Hincesti? Was it a system failure or individual mistakes?
-The whole team loses and the reason isn’t in individual mistakes. The laws are severe in football. If you don’t score, then you’ll be scored. I don’t say that it’s all about our attack. All of us must analyse the game and strive for better, than now we show. I think we need to be calmer and cool-headed team and not to give over emotions.
- Goran Sablich spoke about banal bad luck. Do you agree with this statement?
- Perhaps, but it is not the main factor of our results. The strongest is always lucky therefore it is necessary to try to improve all components. It’s al up to us, and even ability to return good luck. I am not a superstitious player, I think that the result must depend only on professionalism and devotion.
-What can you say about our rival in the Europa League? Valur is a formidable rival for yellow-black.
- I know about the Icelandic football firsthand as I had to play against players of this country. Valur is a well organized team and there is no more easy rivals at this stage of a tournament. We have experience and strong individual qualities on our side. If we don't allow the rivals to prove themselves, then we will definitely achieve positive result.
-What qualities of our team will help to overcome the Icelandic club in two-legged tie?
- Focus, concentration, team spirit, an aggressive game in our and rivals penalty area.
- You have missed many matches, and it’s the first game in the championship after a pause. Are you ready functionally well?
- I am glad that have returned after five weeks of absence. Physically I feel myself well. I am sure that from match to match I will gain optimum condition.
