Petru Racu: It was pleasant to share the victory with our supporters
FC Sheriff defender, Petru Racu, told about the match of the 26th tour of the National Division with FC Sfintul Gheorghe (4:1) summed up the personal results of the coming to the end season and shared emotions after the rewarding with gold medals of the championship.
-Petru, comment on the victory of our team over FC Sfintul Gheorghe.
-I think the match was interesting because of abundance of scored goals. We could finish the first half with larger score to our advantage. I hope spectators liked the match in spite of the fact that we after all missed one goal.
-After the match there was the awards ceremony with gold medals. What emotions did you feel then?
-The fate of the champion's title was clear much earlier. But understanding that we are winners of superiority, came at the moment of rewarding with medals and the cup. We set ourselves up for a victory and spectacular game with FC Sfintul Gherghe. We wanted to score more goals for our supporters in that match. It was very pleasant to share the victory with our supporters.
-There are two rounds left and still what was personally for you this season?
- Personally for me the season was, so to say, crumpled. Because of the injury I fell out the stable at an inopportune moment. Though injuries always happen at an inopportune moment. I was absent in important games and, unfortunately, I didn’t help my team in matches of the championship and Euro cups. If to speak generally, the season was flawed from the point of view of matches on the international scene. Tried to act strongly and worthily. Unfortunately, not everything was achieved. And as for internal superiority, the task was implemented confidently and ahead of schedule.
- In the next tour, we play with FC Zimbru. How do you think the match will be principled while the fate of the champion title was sealed long ago?
- It is clear, that the champion is already defined. But I consider that it won't affect the game with our principal rival. I expect the difficult and intriguing meeting in Chisinau. We are professionals and therefore have to bring the matter to the end. In the last two matches we intend to gain six a points.
