Today, under the roof of the FC Sheriff Covered Arena, the Moldova youth national team (Under-21) played in a friendly against Latvia, which ended in a 1-1 tie.

In the starting line-up, all FC Sheriff players called up by head coach Danut Oprea were present. Goalkeeper Nikolai Cebotari played clean sheet in the first half, midfielder Evgeni Oancea  (above) was replaced in the 70th minute. Right before the substitution, Evgeni brilliantly performed a penalty; however, the guests were saved by the bar. Forward Vitalie Damascan played 79 minutes. 

The next battle for the Europa Championship qualification round of the youth team of Moldova is to take place in Croatia, on 27 March.
