The Commonwealth Cup takes place in the period from January 17 till January 23 in St. Petersburg among young national teams. It should be mentioned that Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are in one group with the Moldovan team. The other group includes Latvia, Estonia, Tajikistan and Russia.
 
FC Sheriff six players were capped to U-21 Moldovan team: Artiom Rozgoniuk, Vadim Paireli, Serghei Svinarenko, Andrei Macritchii, Eugene Rebenja and Dmitri Semirov who has been on loan in FC Saxan.  Artiom Puntus also returned from FC Saxan.
