On August 26 starts Liga 1 (formerly Divisia-A) - a newly formed championship along with the Moldovan Super League. Sheriff-2, formed from the pupils of Sheriff Academy, will represent our club in the second most important league of football in Moldova.

 

The tournament will be held in two stages, all participants-teams will be divided into two groups. In each group, teams will play 10 matches on a circular system. According to the results of 10 rounds, will be determined the teams participating in the second stage, in which the points from the first stage are not taken into account. The second stage will consist of six teams: 4 teams that have taken the first two places in groups A and B of the first stage of the League 1 competition, as well as two teams that have taken the 7th and 8th places after the first stage of the Super League. The teams will play 10 matches on the circular system. In Group 1 on the results of 10 rounds will be determined the winner and medalists of League 1. The champion will receive the right to move on to the Super League next season.

 

On June 6, the draw was held, according to which the teams were divided into two groups of six in each. The wards of Shota Makharadze will play in the first round with the opponents of Group A: Sucleja, "Sporting, Floresti, Falesti and Ungheni. Group B: Olimp, Real Succes, Văcieni, Spartanium, Victoria.

 

In the first round of the double teams of FC Sheriff will play at home against FC Ungheni (August 26-27).
