Munashe Garananga: "Moving to FC Sheriff is a big step forward"
Peter Munashe Garananga is a full member of the big family of FC Sheriff. In his first interview in this capacity, Munashe spoke about the new club, his history and goals.

- Munashe, about the first emotions after joining our club?
- I feel good here. I signed a contract with a big club. FC Sheriff is the name. I am very happy about this event. The club is famous not only in Europe, because Sheriff regularly plays in European competitions.

- What was the main argument that made you move to FC Sheriff? Consulted with someone?
- There is no need to ask about Sheriff. I watched Champions League matches against big clubs: Real Madrid, Inter Milan and other strong teams. And when I received an offer from Tiraspol, there was no need for me to think twice. Moving to Sheriff is a big step forward for my professional growth.

- Tell us a little about yourself, how was your childhood and how did you become a football player?
- Since childhood, I fell in love with football and always received support from my parents. I started playing football at the age of 9 when I went to school, then at the age of 12 I already got into an academy in Zimbabwe and stayed there until I was 15 years old. After Zimbabwe, I moved to another country in South Africa - the city of Cape Town, where I was already without parents and trained at the local academy until the age of 21.

- Your position on the field is a central defender, what other position do you feel comfortable in? Do many people dream of becoming forward and scoring goals since childhood?
- I'm quite comfortable in the position of defensive midfielder, the so-called number 6. As a child, I was a forward at the football academy, but since I didn't score enough goals, and given my physical size, I decided to try myself in the position of a central defender. And to this day, I feel good enough in this position.

- What would you like to achieve in our club?
- Together with the club I want to win the championship and get into the group stage of the Champions League. It is important to improve your skill level from match to match. FC Sheriff has created all conditions for this.
