Match for the first place!
In the central match of 23rd matchday, which is important for both of the teams, FC Sheriff have an encounter with FC Milsami Orhei.
After 22 matchdays Milsami had 16 victories , suffered three defeats and one draw, taking the leading position in the standings. Sheriff Tiraspol takes the third position below Zaria, having 15 victories, two draw and three defeats.
Face-to-face encounter has equal features today: two games, one victory for each side – home victory for Sheriff 2:0, away defeat 1:2.
A draw in Tiraspol will be strategically enough for Milsami players, keeping the first position. However, this cannot be said about Sheriff. Roberto Bordin’s team has to get three points, to move one of the main competitors for the championship and not to depend on further results of the opponent.
Now the teams have two points difference in the standings, thus the match must be interesting and intriguing.
In pre-season five new players joined Milsami. They are Alexandr Morgunov (Russia), Vilaty Balashov (Ukraine), Neik Potokar (Slovenia), and two Moldovan players – Dan Ciobanu and Alexandr Boichuk.
Sheriff and Milsami play tomorrow, 11 March, at 4 PM at the Covered Arena of the sports complex Sheriff.
