Marko Markovski: "I'm sure we have a good team"
After the game against Speranza we had a conversation with a newcomer Marko Markovski.
Marko, tell us a little about your career.
I began playing in my native country, in Serbia. I'm from Belgrade and attended the football academy of Zemun. I played from 8 to 18 years and then signed my first professional contract. After that I began playing in the first Serbian division.
Why did you decide to become a footballer?
It was my dream from childhood. When I was a kid, I decided that once I'll become a professional footballer. Very early I began to play football with my friends and at the age of 18 I became a pro.
What are your first impressions on Sheriff?
Before coming here I found out a lot about the club, and I've heard only good. I asked many people about this club and got only positive responses. I know that the team regularly becomes the champion and takes part in the Champions League qualification. This was the reason why I am here. With my new team-mates I am sure that we have a very strong team that can show itself in Europe.
Greek championship is rather strong. Can you say some words about this time in your career?
I got a lot of experience there, played for 5 years. I like the country and the level of football there, but, again, it's football and I moved to Sheriff.
What do you think about the level of our championship?
For now I played only one match and that's why I cannot say much. Today we played against the team that is in the end of the tournament table. However they played not bad, they have some good players.
Today for the first time you played in Sheriff squad and managed to score. Are you happy?
Of course. I want to score as many goals as possible, I came here to score and want to give my team all the best that I can, and of course make a double this season - to win the Cup and the championship, and then to play well in the European competitions.
