Luka Pavlovich: I hope that I will have a chance to get in FC Sheriff again
FC Sheriff management satisfied a request of the Croatian specialist Luka Pavlovich who left his post of the head coach of FC Sheriff Academy due to family circumstances. About his wishes, methods of work and about further plans - in an exclusive interview to the correspondent of the club press office:
-Luka, one of the periods of your career passed in Tiraspol on position of the head coach of Sheriff Academy of Football. Share with us about it …
-First of all I would like to thank FC Sheriff President Victor Gushan and the director Vazha Tarkhnishvili for the trust and support. I thank all staff, colleagues and coaches of the academy for their warm and friendly attitude to me. It is not an episode in my life, but the whole history. I was glad to work here, for me it was a challenge. I worked in Croatia with players who play in top clubs now. The challenge consisted in bringing up the same professionals proceeding that conditions are excellent here. I am glad that taught young men football and, of course, I’m glad that acquired many friends here. I’m happy that improved my Russian. We have planned a certain program of work which, of course, demands a lot of time for realization. The necessary foundation has been laid therefore development of the academy goes in the right direction.
-You’ve been working in Moldavian football for about three years. What can you say about the level of our football?
- If to speak about the Moldavian football, then it is necessary to tell first of all about FC Sheriff. Tiraspol team, so to say, it is something special. Here all conditions for progress of football players are created. It is necessary to continue to move forward all together. All those who seeks to make Sheriff stronger. The general development of club is an important factor. If there is a progress then medals and the first places will be.
- You participated in training processes of all age of the academy. In your opinion, what do our pupils need to improve?
- It is necessary to work on mentality not only of children, but also their parents. Need to meet with them more often and talk about upbringing, way of life and psychology. The academy can't independently bring up the professional. Children train with us 2 hours, and the rest 22 hours of the day are in family. Parents have to make football for these children meaning of life. To support and, of course, to believe in them, organizing their life, so to say, on football rails. Unfortunately not all believe that football can support later in life. If the child begins to be involved in this sport, then you should realize that it is necessary to give everything that he becomes a professional.
-What are your future plans?
-In the course of work I practically didn’t have days off. You know, I like to throw myself thus into work. But I realized that everyone needs rest and some distraction where you could gain, for example, new strength and the ideas. I think, this is the only thing that I missed. Generally I was happy to be in the yellow-black family. I haven’t thought about future plans yet. In view of the fact that I improved my Russian, I would like to try to fulfil myself in Russia.
- Finally, what would you like to wish to coaches and players of Sheriff Academy?
- I wish them big ambitions, without them there will be no progress. I wish to raise, so to say, the bar up and I believe that they will make it. Everything is possible, just it is necessary to work hard. Once again, thanks to everybody. Wherever I am, I will always watch FC Sheriff. I hope that I will have a chance to get here again I would be very glad.
